The Forsyth Horizons VISTA position focuses on assisting the community of Forsyth with the development and implementation of a sustainable community development entity which would be considered the lead organization/entity for community development improvement efforts. Specific Tasks Include, but are not limited to: Researching existing community development boards with the end result being a best practices document that illustrates what is already being successfully implemented in other communities. Share these with stakeholders. Identifying potential partnering organizations, entities, agencies which may be considered a stakeholder in adopting sustainable long term community development efforts in Forsyth. Develop and implement methods for gathering stakeholder input. This may include utilizing community forums, interviews and questionnaires. Assist in organizing local community development entity, based on best practices and stakeholder needs.
